High-concentration and stable colloids for immunochromatography!!

Immunochromato Gold Colloids, Palladium Colloid and Platium Colloid


Gold Colloids 
Usual particle diameter: WRGH1, WRGH2, WRGH3
Small particle diameter: WRGM2, WRGM3 

Each colloid is based on a different oligopeptide, which contains only the elements C, H, N, and O. WRGH1 contains short peptides, WRGH2 contains peptides of medium length, and WRGH3 contains longer peptides. The peptides are combined with the colloidal gold particles through amide linkages. The number of amide linkages is proportional to the length of the peptide.
Of the three colloids, the oligopeptide is most easily separated from WRGH1, allowing the attachment of antibodies. However, due to the large number of amide linkages in antibodies, they may be attached easily to the WRGH3 colloid, although this varies depending on which antibody is used. Attachment to the gold colloid does not affect the properties of the antibodies.

Palladium Colloid and Platium Colloid

These colloids keep the similler fetures with that of gold colloids. Optimal pH of Palladium Colloid and Platium Colloid are pH9.0 to 9.5 and pH8.5, respectively. In the immunochromatography using these colloids, the black lines come out.


Preparation of an antibody-noble metal conjugate

Feature and Advantages

• High concentration
The gold colloids are highly concentrated (OD525 = 12) compared with other commercially available products (OD525= 1). Therefore, efficient preparation is possible using small instruments, even on a large scale.

• Stable
The product may be stored for six months at room temperature (15 - 25°C).

• Large antibody binding capacity
The colloids can hold up to 1.5 times as many antibodies as other commercially available colloids.

• Easy pH adjustment
Optimal pH may be achieved during the colloid-antibody reaction simply by the addition of buffer solution.

• Large negative charge
An important feature which helps to prevent aggregation.


Shelf Life:
Six months after purchase date.

Storage Method: 
Optimal Storage: Refrigeration, however room temperature of 15°C (59°F) to 25°C (77°F) is sufficient. Never store below 0°C (32°F) or above 30°C (86°F).
