Background

Sialic acid in the non-reducing terminal of a glycoprotein, glycolipid, and the oligosaccharide chain, is acid sugar with important bioactivity. Also, it has been attracting attention as a marker of the cancerous change. Serotonin is known to sialic acid as a material having combination specificity.

Feature and Advantages

It immobilizes serotonin in barotolerant resin and fills it in the HPLC column. It does the separation and refinement of a glycoprotein and sugar chain based on the number of the sialic acid. LAS is dedicated for sugar chain.

To be used for research only. DO NOT use for human gene therapy or clinical diagnosis.
